I am an abolitionist. I hate slavery, and when learning how prevelant it still is in our world, I know I must help change it. I really looking forward to the movie, AMAZING GRACE, opening. Not so much for me to see it, but for others to be informed and join in as change agents.
There are many non-profits helping in the fight. I'll introduce this one as the first in a series. (Don't know how many are in the series yet...until I run out of sites to introduce you to.)

800,000: Number of persons trafficked across international borders each year

91: Number of cities in the United States with reported cases of trafficking

I believe this why the Home of Blessing started in Bangkok. A pastor there saw a young girl being escorted somewhere and wondered what was going on. I think now there are 121 young girls that have been rescued from a horrible situation. We had a team from our church go over and spend time there for a couple of weeks during January. I've heard wonderful stories about their time there.

What's new?
